COVID-19 Visitor Update

As of Friday 13 May 2022, we have updated our visiting conditions and will be permitting two (2) fully vaccinated visitors (not including children) per patient at any one time, for a maximum of two (2) hours, except end of life, within the specified hours below.

Visiting hours will be as follows:

  • Monday–Sunday (including public holidays): 12:00pm to 6:00pm

Compassionate circumstances will be considered on request and will require approval of the General Manager.

We apologise for the inconvenience and hardship this may cause, but appreciate your understanding of the need to keep patients as safe as possible during these challenging times. Please contact your loved one by telephone or device, and our friendly staff will support regular digital drop-ins so you can keep in touch.​​​​ ​​​​

Parking:

North Eastern Rehabilitation Centre has free on-site parking and street parking.

Please note the facility does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles.

Bus:

It is only a 500 metre walk to the bus stop just beyond the end of our street on Oriel Rd.

Train:

Ivanhoe train station is approximately 2km from the hospital.

A patient/visitor lounge is located near the nurse desk area to help patients enjoy the company of friends and relatives.

A TV is located in the room.

North Eastern Rehabilitation Centre has a designated smoking area at the rear of the hospital grounds.

Smoking is not permitted within six metres of the hospital walls.

Please ask a member of staff for directions.

Vending machines are available on site.

The hot beverages vending machine is accessible in the outpatient waiting room.

The snack vending machines are located within the hospital.
